Kigurumi (きぐるみ) is one of our favorite ways to transform.
It originated in Japan and is a unique form of cosplay where 2D anime characters are brought to life in the real world. By wearing a specially crafted anime-style mask (we call it Animegao), along with character-matching costumes and a full bodysuit (Zentai), it's as if... we truly become the character.
Kigurumi isn’t just cosplay.
It’s a gentle portal that lets us step into the world of anime—and lets anime step into ours.
Why do we love Kigurumi?
Many of us started with a simple love for anime.
Sometimes it was a character who gave us strength during hard times.
Sometimes it was someone we saw and thought, “That’s who I wish I could be.”
Kigurumi gives us the chance to become someone we admire—and become someone closer to ourselves.
The moment we put on the mask, the world softens. There’s no need to explain—just be.
To us, Kigurumi is a gentle form of expression
At Mirrodoll, we want to share this quiet kind of joy with more people.
We cherish every moment of transformation, and we respect every person who wants to get closer to the characters they love.
Kigurumi is love. And it’s strength, too.
